王光美（1921-2006），曾名董樸，祖籍天津，1921年9月出生於北京，20世紀40年代初求學並任教於北平輔仁大學。中國20世紀最具傳奇色彩的中國女性之一，她的一生有很多身份：大家閨秀、數學女王、中國第一個原子物理的女碩士畢業生、萬人仰慕的第一夫人、十二年的階下囚，以及幸福工程組委會主任。她的一生大起大落，充滿了傳奇色彩。但迄今為止，有關她的記載大都處於她的丈夫劉少奇的影子當中。不久前，我們終於有機會走近了王光美，在整個採訪過程中，王光美健康開朗，心境平寧，讓我們再一次領略到了當年第一夫人高雅的丰采與高貴的風範。
